Family of Jonathan Wardill and Hannah (nee Jackson)
Jonathan (1819 - 1898) son of Jonathan Wardill (b1780) married Hannah Jackson (1822 - 1885) on June 26 1842 in St Johns Bridlington. Jonathan began life as a joiner, being apprenticed to one of his cousins in Bridlngton, where he married Hannah a local girl and where his first son was born. He subsequently moved to London, where he was eventually described as an Engineer. He appears to have been involved in Wardill &Co an Engineering Company, Shadwell East London - Marine and Consulting Engineers. At least two patents were registered in his name. After the death of his wife Jonathan married Hilda Burbridge at St Michaels Wood Green on July 8 1886.
