Family of Jonathan Wardill and Jane Ann (nee Nicholson)
Jonathan Wardill (1854 - 1941), son of James Wardill (1822 - 1884) and Charlotte Hansell (1822 - 1888), married Jane Ann Nicholson (1860 - 1899), known as "Jinny", in June 1884 in Malton, Yorkshire, where all their children were born. Jane died after the birth of their daughter Jane Ann in 1899. Jonathan subsequently remarried Mary Elizabeth Wainright and had several more children (details not known to webmaster). James had a saddelery busines in Malton where he was a highly respected member of the community, at one time being Chairman of the Town Council. The shop is reported as still being there (in 2004) and is still a saddlers.
